How Often Should You Really Clean Your PC?

One of the most common questions we get is "how often should I have my PC cleaned?" The honest answer is: it depends. But here are some general guidelines.

Every 3 Months

If you have pets, smoke indoors, or your PC sits on the floor (especially on carpet), you should aim for quarterly cleanings. These environments generate significantly more dust and debris.

Every 6 Months

For most people, twice a year is the sweet spot. This keeps dust from building up to problematic levels while being practical and affordable.

Once a Year

If your PC is in a clean, elevated position in a pet-free home, you might be able to stretch to annual cleanings. But don't go longer than a year — even in the cleanest environments, dust finds a way.

Pro Tip: Check Your Filters

If your case has dust filters, check them monthly. A quick rinse under water and air dry can significantly reduce how much dust gets inside. It takes two minutes and saves your components.
